WILL YOU RAISE YOUR HAND? We need a volunteer who can handle distributing the discount cards to the students as well as gathering the return of the money for sold discount cards. This person is responsible for providing a breakdown of the sales to the board as well as Milo in the band office so students can get the money earned put into the Individual Band Accounts.

We ask that you RAISE YOUR HAND and get involved in one of the finest band programs in the country. Without parent volunteers we CANNOT succeed. So please contact Ann Hyzy or Scott Smith to offer your help.

It's that time of year again where the marching band students are asked to sell tickets for our Annual Car Raffle. 2008 is no different as we will once again be raffling off a 2008 Ford Mustang.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom O'Donnell will once again don the suit of Co-Chairpersons for this event. The Car Raffle is one of our largest and most important fundraisers. To kick this off we start the raffle off at the St. John Festival from June 5th through June 8th. If you contact the O'Donnell's they will tell you how you and/or your student can take care of their 10 ticket obligation easily and quickly. The St. John Festival is one of our best customers when it comes to ticket sales. You will be able to sign up to come to the festival booth we have and sell your 10 tickets. In the past this usually takes no more than an hour to do. So contact the O'Donnell's today!

Being a band parent, nobody has to tell you how expensive it can be to have a student in the band program. Between instrument purchases, upkeep, the cost of the program itself, travel costs, the list goes on and on, it takes a lot of sacrifice to have a student in band. Well, the Lake Central Band Boosters have come up with a way for you to offset some of these expenses WITHOUT having to sell a ticket, or a product!

That's correct, all you have to do is search your house for unused or no longer used items that can be sold on EBay, fill out an online form and drop the form and the items at a designated place and time. The booster organization will take care of the rest. You can just sit back, wait for the item to sell on ebay and then fund your students IBA with half the proceeds from the sale! You can learn more by visiting the EBay page. If you have any questions you can send an email and a member of the EBay committee will respond to you. It's a great way to offset your costs, clean a closet or two and help the program with little to no effort on your part!

The 2008 version of the Tribe of Pride has been announced. Currently in the works is the 2008 show entitled 'Absence'. This years show, with a larger band, should prove to exciting. In true LC style I'm sure we'll all be yelling 'WE ARE LC!"
