Come join us at our annual craft fair
The Annual Craft Fair at Lake Central High School was held Saturday, December 7th in the High School. It was immensely successful as more than 1,500 people walked through the doors to see what 160 crafters had to sell. The atmosphere was festive as the band boosters all put on their Santa hats and either worked as Door Sentinels, Concession Stand Workers, Bake Sale Elves, Greeters or Student Rep. The Band Students donned their Santa hats as well and became Santa's little helpers again by assisting the crafters by bringing in their wares, from the cold outside so the crafters could concentrate on getting their booths set up. They also provided assistance to the crafters during the day by taking their lunch orders and delivering their lunches so they didn't have to leave their booths to eat.

The crafters put up very festive displays with everything under the sun available for sale. A great time was had by all and it seeemed the day was over before you knew it. As always, this is one of the biggest fundraisers the boosters hold every year and there are so many people to thank.

A BIG THANK YOU, goes out to Tom and Linda Bolan on putting on one of the finest craft fairs in the state once again. They worked tirelessly to ensure that every crafter, worker, student and visitor had a great experience. Tom and Linda, your work is so appreciated as you have once again raised the bar for whoever runs the show next year!

There are simply too many people to list here so this writer is going to let Tom and Linda take care of that in the next newsletter. Suffice it to say the success of this show could not happen without the efforts of the Lake Central Band Boosters, so for all of you who worked on the event, no matter in what small or large way, A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO ALL OF YOU AS WELL!

We all look forward to 2008's version of the Lake Central Band Boosters Annual Craft Fair. So let's get started, as in the Movie 'The Santa Claus', Bernard told the new Santa, 'We have a lot of work to do and only 11 months to get it done'!

Happy Holidays to all!
