We all know that band expenses are increasing every year. The Band Boosters have a program in place that allows you to purchase gift card type items from stores in the area that you frequent every week. Things like Strack and Van Til and many others. Now we all make purchases at places like these every day. The way the program works is you simply order the cards through the B.E.R.P. order form (will be online soon) and turn the form into the Band Boosters mail box or you can get it to Cathie Clark and the boosters will do the rest. Once the cards arrive you simply take them to the particular store for which they were intended, make your purchase using the card. Your student will receive a credit to their IBA depending on the amount earned from your order. (It goes both to the band boosters (30%) to cover expenses and your child's IBA (70%). No child in band - no problem - the credit will go to the band boosters or any band member that you designate on the form.
You don't have to do anything different than you would normally do in terms of what you purchase other than use the card to pay for the item. It works very much like a Debit card.
