Lake Central band boosters is proud to announce a new fundraising program. This program provides funds for the band and the students IBA account. Anyone can donate an item to the band to be sold on EBay. The boosters have set up accounts on EBay and EBay's fundraising organization (MissionFish) that allow us to sell and not be charged listing or selling fees. Items that are donated are tax deductible and any purchases from EBay seller Lakecentralbandboosters are tax deductable and you gain some closet space. You can choose to have 50% percent of the final sales price to be put into your students IBA account. With the sale of a few items you could easily fund the account for the entire year. Another great part about this fundraiser is that you don't have to do any selling. The EBay committee will accept your donations and will do all the listing, sale and shipping of the item through EBay.

How the program works.

Simply collect your items and fill out an LC Band EBay Sales form for each item. (Available on the Website or in the Band room) Then bring your items to designated collection times and places that will be in the LC Band newsletter or on the website (WWW.LCBAND.COM) or if you have lots of stuff email Paul Kullmann to schedule a pickup. THAT'S IT. We will take care of the rest. We will take pictures of the items and create EBay auction listings that will run for 7 days and once your item has sold ship it out to the buyer. The really fun part is that you can monitor your item on EBay by checking the listings for the Ebay seller, under the name, Lakecentralbandboosters. Once your item has sold and we have received payment, we will credit your students IBA account with 50% of the final sales price. You can also sell the item yourself and donate a portion to the band please contact ebay@lcband.com for details.

What to sell

We will accept anything that EBay will allow us sell. Some things that sell well are Antiques, Collectibles, Old Car parts, old Game systems, Designer clothing and purses, Electronics, Used musical instruments, the list goes on and on. If you have any questions about something to sell, you can search EBay to see if any similar items have sold or send a message to Ebay@lcband.com and we can check. If your item doesn't sell you can elect to have it returned to you or just donate it to the band program.

While you're doing your spring cleaning you can set aside items for sale and clear out some space, donate to a good cause and add some dollars to your students IBA account. Not to mention come tax time get a tax deduction for yourself. So start looking around your house, bring items in and we will start selling!!!

Drop off times will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Booster meeting night which is the last Wednesday of every month. There will be additional times announced and as stated above, if you have a large amount you can schedule a pickup of those items by using the email link above.
