The awards night committee is primarily made up of senior parents but does include others as well.  The Awards night banquet is the end of year band celebration where the Seniors are sent off with much fanfare and many tears.  It's also a celebration of the bands (all bands and guard) accomplishments during the year.  A great feast is had, awards are handed out, tears flow, scholarships are handed out, tears flow... I think you get the idea.   It truly caps the entire band season in such a way that those in attendance will take home memories for a lifetime.
